In this thesis project, I compile the life experiences I have had during my travel to the United States of America between the years of 2008-2017. First I introduce the implication of writing a memoir at a young age, and how, in fact, a memoir is not about pretending that I lived a more extraordinary life than others, but the courage of writing it lies within the depth of the experiences I have faced. I then explain what it is to be a Saudi girl in the United States, and how that significantly reflects on my position outside Saudi Arabia as a Muslim woman. Finally, I include a collection of nine personal essays that shape my self-discovery, the most impactful moments in my travel that have changed my perception of life and people general.
