We investigate the shape of color space data for Young Stellar Objects cataloged in the NASA archive MIRES using Computational Topology. Mapper was used to construct graphical summaries of the 6-dimensional and 21-dimensional color space data for all 18 star forming regions and we observed that the data from certain regions separated into multiple connected components. These patterns were cross-checked with possible astronomical explanations and we found no match. This suggests a new insight into the color space data of YSOs and opportunities for further research.
