"An investigation of film boiling heat transfer was made with cylindrical heaters. The (0.75" O.D.) gold plated, copper heaters were positioned horizontally in pools of liquid argon, nitrogen, and carbon monoxide. A correlation for film boiling corresponding states fluids is derived and discussed. The correlation is a least squares fit of three variables: the diameter of the cylindrical heater, the reduced pressure of the system, and the temperature difference between the heater surface and the saturated pool" – Abstract, p. iii.
