This study explores how the eight Singapore kindergartens went through a self-evaluation and development process for quality improvement. Using child involvement, adult engagement and early childhood environmental rating as a proxy for assessing quality, the findings show improvement on child involvement and gains on teachers and principals' capabilities and skills.
