Abstract

As a result of natural and anthropogenic activities there is an accumulation of wide range of toxic xenobiotic compounds in the environment and this causes a global concern xenobiotics are those compounds that are alien to a living individual and have a propensity to accumulate in the environment Principal xenobiotics include pesticides fuels solvents alkanes polycyclic hydrocarbons antibiotics synthetic azo dyes dioxins polychlorinated biphenyls polyaromatic chlorinated and nitroaromatic compounds newline Bibliography 240 - 270 p.
