Painting, for me, is essential. Through digital processes, I find another way to visually express myself. Mixed media, assemblage and sculpture, are disciplines with which I am interested and find even more ways to make visual marks. Informally, I educated myself in comic books, animation, video-game art, illustration, stop-motion film and cinematic production design. Where is the space for the art that I learned from an interest in visual media? If one were to believe, that as much truth could be found in the scrawling of a bathroom stall confession as in the cultured wings of the finest museum, I would like people to know that my work is honest.
