Abstract
In this thesis, we shall study fundamental Bessel functions for GL<sub>n</sub> (F) arising from the Voronoi summation formula as well as Bessel functions for GL<sub>2</sub> (F) and GL<sub>3</sub> (F) occurring in the Kuznetsov trace formula, where n is any positive integer and F = R or C.
