Abstract

The method ot separating substances by centrifuging is so ancient that its origin is unrecorded. In recent years, its use has become more widespread until, today, centrifuges are employed in many industries and in most laboratories. However, the development of the technique ot employing very high centrifugal fields tor the measurement ot particle sizes has taken place since 1923.
