Abstract

The interpretation of a photograph implies both the recognition and identification of objects and the conversion of their recognition and identification into information and intelligence by an individual identified as a photo interpreter. The interpretation of aerial photographs requires considerable skill and can only be acquired after years of training and experience. With increasing emphasis being placed on the use of aerial reconnaissance it has seemed only proper to analyze the existing patentialities for the training of photographic interpreters. [TRUNCATED]
