"In this thesis the finite difference method is used to solve triangular plates with uniformly distributed transverse load. As a matter of convenience triangular coordinates are used. The supporting conditions as well as the shape of plate are varied. All calculations are performed by digital computer. The patterns of differential operators in triangular coordinates, the deflections of plates, and the moment distributions are shown and discussed. The results obtained for some special cases are compared with published solutions" – Abstract, p. i.
