Abstract

"The object of this investigation was to study the relationship between the rate of ram movement during the initial application of pressure and the transmission of pressure in the dry press process; to study the effect of various rates of ram movement; and, as far as possible, to determine the critical rate for uniform pressure distribution within the body" – Purpose of Investigation, p. 4.
