Abstract
John Foxe's Book of Martyrs (1563-1570) is one of the most famous books in the canon of English Literature. And, among famous books, it is one of the least read. Ever since the day of its publication, just 400 years ago, it has always enjoyed some sort of fame and, at times, notoriety.
