The past few years have seen many refinements in our electronic equipment; the accuracy and stability, always weak points in such equipment, have been notably improved. This improved performance has required, in many cases, the use of accurate, stable voltages for operating the ecuipment, and, as a result, the use of voltage-regulated aower sources has greatly increased. It has been the authorfs experience, in designing such regulators, that performance was not always as good as had been expected, and it was the desire to resolve some of these anomalies that led to the present investigation.[...]
