[...] The relative importance of the average egg production record of families of full-sisters in breeding for egg productionwas demonstrated by Taylor and Lerner (1938). Juli (1947) obtained egg production records on unculled progeny of selected fullsister dams mated to the same sire but there are no published reports of progeny records of unselected full-sister dams matedto the same sire . It is the purpose of this study to determine the relative breeding potential of full-sisters with egg productionabove the family average as compared to those below the family average.[..]
