Abstract

"The flotation of the complex sulphide ore, which is the subject of this investigation, has been in progress on a large scale for several years. As the operation has been successful it follows that the ore dressing methods have been developed in much detail. For further improvements an intense investigation is required. The complex nature of the ore opens many avenues of research along some of which clues may be found that will lead to ultimate savings. It is along a few of these avenues that this investigation has been directed. Hence an effort was made to add to the existing knowledge of the ore minerals and their associations, after which flotation was studied" – Introduction, p. 2.
