Abstract
Typewritten mss. Basic open-hearth tapping slag is a by-product in the manufacture of steel. This typo of slag is produced in the Maritime Provinces by the Dominion Steel & Coal Corporationat Sydney, Nova Scotia. Different types of slag have proven to be of great agricultural value in Great Britain, Germany, United States and Belgium. Tapping slag is produced in large quantities in Nova Scotia and, being an asset to the agricultural industry as a fertilizer on soils, it is of the utmost importance that its value to Maritime farmers be ascertained.[...]
