AbstractsChemistry

This thesis presents the subject matter of reports which the writer has submitted to the Advisory Committee of Industrial Chemists, to the National Research Council and more recently to the Chemical Warfare Establishment, Ottawa, between September 1940 and January 1942. Each problem has been selected by the National Research Council and supervised by the National Research Council Director at McGill University in the interests of the national war effort. Those problems in which the time factor has been of greatest importance have been studied in collaboration with other workers and due acknowledgement of their contribution has been made.
