This thesis is a discussion of the important woman characters in Glasworthy's novels, with the view of seeing whether, in his development of them, he did show evidences of the "androgynous mind", and consequently interest female readers. A possibility that Mrs. Woolf's criticism may have influenced his later writing is also considered.
