In this thesis, the writer has discussed the geology ot the Dyke Lake Sheet, in the Upper Hamilton river area of Newfoundland-Labrador. A short summary ot the physiography of the area is given. The thesis is a description of the Kaniapiskau series which are found in the map area; with particular reference to the Dyke Lake Volcanics of the above series, and includes a petrographic description of them. A brief summary of the older Grenville type series, which underlies the Kaniapiskau, is also given.
