Abstract

"The study of the ball mill is very complicated, due to the varying conditions existing in the mill. Some of these conditions are: Size of grinding media, size of feed, moisture content, and speed with its effect on the paths of the grinding media. A brief history of fine grinding will first be outlines, after which some of the theories of ball milling will be stated. Then the paths of the grinding media will be given some attention, and a new point of view about the trajectory will be brought out" – Introduction, p. 2.
