Abstract
"The occurrence of outliers of Pennsylvanian age, probably Cherokee, in and about Rolla has long been known. The Bureau of Geology and Mines and the Department of Geology of the School of Mines at Rolla have been greatly interested in the many stratigraphic problems presents. The writer has, therefore, undertaken field and laboratory studies of certain of these problems" – Introduction, p. [1].
