Abstract
"Material for this paper was assembled during 1936 when the author, with an associate, studied the Terlingua District and did some actual prospecting and mining in various parts of this district. This paper endeavors to describe mercury mining in the Terlingua District of Texas generally. No attempt is made to treat any of the various aspects of this industry too technically as this is not the purpose of this paper" – Introduction, p. [iii].
