[...] Much work has been done in animals using purely artificial means of inducing hypersensitivity. Only a few workers have attempted to simulate hypersensitivity in animals, as it occurs in humans. Therefore, the study o hypersensitivity In animals, produced in guinea pigs by inhalation of the antigenic substance, might well show features of both anaphylaxis in animals and allergy, (i.e. asthma) in humans. It was with these features in mind that the present problem was undertaken.
