Abstract
What was the United States' policy towards the Palestinian armed movement in the period 1965-1973, and why was the US reluctant to accept any part of it? What view did the US have of the different methods of violence that the various Palestinian groups used in the armed struggle, and what impact did this have on US policy? These are the questions which this MA thesis seeks to answer.
