Abstract

The thesis is an interdiciplinary study of the Norwegian asylum procedures with a special focus on how interviews are conducted. The study discusses the relevant substantive and procedural rules, it describes the interview procedure in UDI,and finally it discusses how linguistic and cultural differences between the asylum seeker and the interviewer may affect credibility determination.
