Oppgaven er en undersøkelse av i hvilken grad det er mulig å bruke semantiske notasjoner på nodene i et Bayesiansk nettverk for å bevise om modelleringen av nettverket er konsistent med en spesifikasjon gitt av en ontologi. Implementasjon av prototype i JAVA med bruk av HUGIN og OWL APIene og med ontologi i RDF/OWL. Et av målene var å utvikle en algoritme for konsistenssjekk og optimalisering av denne algoritmen. The thesis is an investigation into how it might be possible to annotate semantically the nodes of a Bayesian network in order to check whether the modeling of the network is consistent with a specification of an ontology. Implementation in JAVA with use of the HUGIN and OWL APIs and with the ontology in RDF/OWL. One of the tasks was to develop an algorithm for consistency check and optimization of this algorithm.
