Abstract

Hydrazine is the simplest diamine and parent compound of innumerable newlineDerivatives The variety of ways in which hydrazine may be bonded to the metal newlineion are of particular interest in coordination chemistry Hydrazine can function as newlineboth monodentate and bidentate bridging ligand Now a days the metal newlinehydrazine carboxylate complexes are given importance due to their easier newlinecombustibility on thermal decomposition For e g metal hydrazine formate newlineacetate propionate glycolate oxalate malonate succinate benzoate hydroxy newlinebenzoate benzene tri and tetra carboxylates pyridine dicarboxylate pyrazine newlinedicarboxylate naphthoate hydroxy naphthoate and naphthoxy acetates have been newlinestudied by simultaneous TG DTA thermoanalytical methods These complexes newlineundergo exothermic decomposition to produce fine metal oxide particles With an newlineidea of extending these studies sulphur containing aliphatic and aromatic acids newlinesuch as thioglycolic thiomalic thiobenzoic and sulphosalicylic acids were chosen newlineas ligands for the preparation of complexes using hydrazine as co ligand newline newline newline%%%reference p.196-216
