Superiority of man over woman has been a controversial issue in the field of psychology During the early 20th eentury the Psychological tests demonstrated that women compared to men are less intelligent and inferior in scholastic achievement But the controversial issue was settled on the basis of the empirical evidence that the differences between the two sexes are social and psychological rather than biological Although the controversy is still fomenting in the research cauldrons newlinebut much of the evidence that has been gathered so far has shown that women compared to men are not inferior in the level of intelligence and other personality factors However there is no dispute that woman because of her biological constitution and psycho social roles assigned to her make it clear that there are certain differences among women in value orientation achievement motivation and tendency towards abnormal behaviour as compared to men%%%
