Abstract

Agricultural or biodegradable materials have played a major role in newlinehuman life This can be dated back to the primitive age where these newlineagricultural resources such as wood bamboo etc were used to make shelter newlinecook food construct tools and make weapons The advantages of using such newlineresources are that they are widely distributed in all the zones of the world newlineand are multi functional strong and also biodegradable But the introduction newlineof plastics the leading material in the 21st century derived from irreplaceable newlinefossil fuels the importances of these natural materials have started newlinediminishing Plastic is one material that offers several advantages over other newlineconventional engineering materials Availability of a wide variety of plastics newlinefacilitates the selection of most suitable material for specific application Ease newlineof manufacturing good strength and possibility of recycling in some varieties newlineof plastics offer good flexibility in industrial applications Epoxy is one such newlineplastic when reinforced with fibers offers unlimited applications newlineFiber reinforced polymer composites have played a dominant role newlinefor a long time in a variety of applications for their high specific strength and newlinemodulus The fiber which serves as a reinforcement in reinforced plastics may newlinebe synthetic or natural newline newline%%%reference p128-134.
