Abstract

Despite the growing interest in service provisioning and ubiquitous newlineresource sharing in MANET primary focus has been in the methodology used newlinefor service discovery and delivery The objective of this research is to elect newlineadaptively a stable service coordinator for each of the geographic zone and to newlineinvestigate its effect on each phase of service provisioning newlineIn the coordinator election schemes that use either the node ID or a newlinehash function to choose a coordinator the number of coordinator change is newlinemore frequent due to node mobility In order to elect a stable coordinator newlinenode an adaptive scheme that makes use of an eligibility factor is proposed newlineThe eligibility factor is calculated based on distance to the zone center newlineremaining battery power and average speed of a mobile node The adaptive newlinescheme reduces the frequency of coordinator changes associated overhead newlineand the energy spent by coordinator nodes newline%%%appendix p131-141, reference p142-151.
