Abstract

This thesis considers the problem of information transmission over the multiple access channel known as T user F Adder Channel via the class of T Direct codes In this study, some interesting properties of the class of T Direct codes are explored and several code constructions are given along with their practical significance This thesis mainly deals with the class of T Direct codes This thesis initiates its study by presenting capacity calculation for the noiseless and noisy T user F Adder Channel as estimation of capacity allows us to see how much improvement is theoretically possible Then the thesis introduces the notion of concatenated codes with complementary duals Two construction procedures of concatenated codes are given concatenated LCD codes and concatenated 2 Direct codes Further in this thesis, a distance construction method newlinefor the class of T Direct codes constituted by a set of T maximum rank distance codes is proposed The proposed distance construction is shown to increase the minimum distance of the constituent codes of T Direct codes when employed Also a construction procedure is developed from the proposed distance construction The distance construction procedure is used to increase the number of constituent codes of a T Direct code This thesis also proposes a coding scheme that can construct a code with higher information rate from an existing code newline newline%%%
