In the present research more particularly on the basis of review of researches the investigator felt that there were some missing links in the researches which have already been established in India and abroad The purpose of newlinethe present investigator was to look for a range of personality characteristics out of which it could be established as to newlinewhich are the essential ones which go with teacher effectiveness For this purpose the investigator confined his study to newlineTeacher personality correlates and scholastic competence as related to effective teaching As for the procedural techniques the investigator decided to confine his study to higher secondary teachers of P U C PreUniversity Classes level in the district of Srinagar As for the delimitations of the study the scope was confined only to male teachers teaching Mathematics Sciences and English To sum up the results personality adjustment the quality of social interaction democratic leadership a high degree of intelligence and emotional control are the main postulates which have emerged as most prominent characteristics which are associated with teacher effectiveness newline%%%
