Abstract

As part of my traineeship I interned at this year CPH PIX’s Event Department. This department is in charge of the planning and implementation of all the activities related to the Festival, which were not taking place in an ordinary cinema. Through my internship period the relations between the permanent staff and the interns has stroke me as a problematic issue. I fund therefore interesting as well as relevant from my Performance Design student-perspective to analyse these managerial matters. I identified these relations with what I would call the intern-role paradox. In order to be able to study them I will be using ANT (Actor-Network Theory) as a tool for my analysis. My focus would be on the processes that create this paradox and its influences on the organization and on the Event Department in specific.
